Music, art, and industry meet in the council hall in Borgosesia

On May 17, Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia organized an exceptional event that intertwined the refinement of the brand’s yarns with the exclusivity of a string concert by the soloists of the Camera Ducale.
The performance, hosted in the evocative Sala del Consiglio in Borgosesia – a jewel of acoustics and architecture – was an integral part of the exhibition “Viotti and Stradivari – The Quest for Perfection” organized by the Viotti Foundation on the occasion of the bicentennial of Giovanni Battista Viotti’s death.
The composer, born in Fontanetto Po (Vercelli), was the first to launch Stradivari violins in Europe for his students to buy – among them some big names such as Rode, Kreutzer, Baillot, Beriot – anticipating Brescian and Cremonese violin making by about 30 years.
He was also recognized as the father of the Marseillaise, initially an Aria and Variations for violin and orchestra to which the words were added only later in 1792.
The Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia plant opened its doors to 34 selected guests, including top clients, journalists and key stakeholders who had the opportunity to enter the ZBLB world and discover how attention to detail and the craftsmanship of the artisans characterize the production of the yarns. At the end of the visit, the concert in the Council Hall elegantly sealed the dialogue between art and industry.
It was a unique opportunity to bring out the talents of the Biella area: a tribute to the young musicians and employees of the company that makes the enhancement of talent a fundamental principle.
