A recognition that encapsulates over 175 years of history, rooted in textile tradition and a deep connection to its territory.
On April 15, on the occasion of Made in Italy Day, the Borgosesia Post Office hosted a moment of exchange open to the public, dedicated to the value of Italian manufacturing tradition and its ability to tell its story, also through philately.
At the heart of the initiative was the stamp issued in 2025 as part of the thematic series “The Excellence of the Italian Production System and Made in Italy” (“Le Eccellenze del sistema produttivo e del Made in Italy”), dedicated to Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia: a small sign on paper, yet capable of encapsulating a far-reaching industrial history, built on experience, continuity and a strong connection to its territory.
During the event, the key steps that led to its creation were retraced, highlighting the value of a tool that goes beyond its original function to become a vehicle for storytelling, memory and cultural promotion.
The process was illustrated by Lorenzo Piacentini, CEO of Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia, who emphasized how the issuance of a stamp represents a meaningful recognition: one that enhances not only a company’s history, but also the territory that shapes and sustains it.
Making this tribute even more emblematic is the image chosen to represent it: a cone of red yarn, an immediate symbol of a textile tradition that spans generations and continues to express quality, research and vision.
The inclusion of the stamp in the 2025 Stamp Yearbook – the official collection of the year’s most significant issues – further strengthens the link between philately and Made in Italy, confirming the evocative power of symbols that preserve and convey the country’s productive identity.
For Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia, this recognition stands as a testament to a story that continues to evolve without losing sight of its origins: a culture of making shaped by people, expertise and vision – an ongoing interplay between memory and the future.
